The road east is a audio memoir of my experiences of the 18 months I spent in China living in both the futuristic metropolis that is Shenzhen. The sounds and synths emulate that futuristic vibe which encapsulated me in that bustling city. I then moved over to Hong Kong a mix between bustling city life and ancient Chinese traditions and architecture. The more melodic and soulful track embody this feeling. The samples from Canton and Mainland Chinese films help embody this.
